I have been casually taking pictures with my camera and my phone over the past 10 or more years. It has been nothing but a random and passing hobby, but some of them have turned out to capture things worth while sharing. Many of the pictures have been edited and tuned (e.g. with Lightroom), because why not.
One thing is what we see with our eyes, the other is how we feel when we are seeing it. I edit my images so that they would be a combination of both – what I see and what I feel.
