I am a political scientist mostly working on political parties. I have a BA and an MA in comparative politics from the University of Tartu, Estonia and a PhD in Political Science from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. From September 2017 I am working at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies at the University of Tartu as a researcher.

My current work focuses mostly on analysing how people perceive political spaces, but I also work on political parties and party systems more generally, and occasionally make detours into subjects that usually belong to international relations. I also teach at the Skytte Institute and my classes now include elections and political behaviour, democratic institutions and quantitative methods.
